Wiser Health · Austin, TX
Functional health, comprehensive labs, and a personalized plan — so you can stop guessing and start knowing what your body actually needs.
Stop Guessing
Most standard bloodwork only tells you whether you have a diagnosable disease. Functional lab testing tells you how well your body is actually working — and where it's struggling before things break down.
Live Wiser is primarily a telehealth service. I combine comprehensive functional labs with a personalized care plan you can follow from home. Functional medicine works best alongside conventional care, not instead of it.

What’s Included in Your Initial Consult
Before we meet, I review your complete health history, symptom questionnaire, and any labs or provider notes you’ve shared — so our time together starts with real context, not a blank slate. After your visit, I combine my intake notes with your session notes into a personalized document outlining recommended labs, supplements, lifestyle adjustments, and anything worth discussing with your prescribing physician.
Investment
Visit frequency typically begins around every 4 weeks and tapers as your protocol stabilizes. Most patients transition to maintenance visits every 6–12 months.
What I Test
Blood sugar dysregulation is frequently subclinical — it won't show up as a diagnosis, but it affects how you feel every day. These tests can show how your metabolism is actually functioning, not just whether it's broken.
TSH alone doesn't tell the full story of thyroid function. I look at conversion markers and antibodies that standard panels typically don't include, plus key sex hormones that affect energy, mood, and metabolism.
Standard cholesterol panels miss the markers that actually predict cardiovascular risk. I test particle size, inflammation, and homocysteine — the numbers that matter before something goes wrong.
Deficiencies in key vitamins and minerals are among the most common — and most overlooked — causes of fatigue, mood issues, and poor recovery.
How I Help
Most standard bloodwork tells you whether something is wrong enough to treat. Functional labs tell you how well your body is actually working — and where it's quietly struggling before symptoms become diagnoses.
Your labs, your symptoms, and your goals come together in a plan built specifically for you. No generic protocols. No guesswork.
Your first visit gives you a complete picture of where you stand. What happens next is up to you — some patients want a full optimization protocol, others want to track key markers over time. I build around your goals and your pace.
You're already putting in the work. Labs tell you whether your body is actually recovering, building, and adapting — or just grinding itself down.
My Process
I spend real time understanding your full health history, current symptoms, and goals.
I order the right panels for your situation, based on your specific symptoms and history. You get results interpreted against optimal functional ranges — with a clear explanation of what each finding means for how you feel and function.
Targeted supplementation, nutrition, and lifestyle strategies — built around what your labs actually show.
I track your progress, retest as needed, and refine your plan over time. Health optimization is a process, not a one-time fix.
Common Questions
New to functional health? Here are answers to the questions I hear most often.
View all FAQsConventional medicine typically focuses on diagnosing and treating disease. Functional medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of symptoms — often before a diagnosable disease develops. I look at the full picture: labs, lifestyle, environment, and history.
No referral needed. You can book a consult directly. I'm happy to work alongside your existing providers and can help you identify what to bring to those conversations.
Some standard labs may be covered depending on your plan. Specialty functional panels are often self-pay. I'll discuss testing options and costs during your consultation so there are no surprises.
Many patients notice meaningful improvements in energy, sleep, and mood within the first 4–8 weeks. Deeper metabolic changes take longer — typically 3–6 months of consistent care. I track your progress with follow-up labs so you can see the data, not just feel the difference.
