Whole-body acupuncture tailored to your cycle, your labs, and your fertility goals — whether you're trying naturally, alongside IVF/IUI, or preparing for the future.
What It Is
Fertility acupuncture works by addressing the physiological factors that influence conception — hormonal regulation, ovarian blood flow, uterine receptivity, and the stress response that can quietly disrupt all of them. It is not a replacement for reproductive medicine. It's a meaningful complement to it.
I treat the whole person, not just the reproductive system. That means I can order and interpret functional labs and understand your cycle in detail — blending traditional Chinese medicine with functional health expertise, always in coordination with your reproductive endocrinologist's protocol, to build a plan that adapts as your situation evolves, whether you're in a natural conception window, a stimulation cycle, or preparing for an embryo transfer.
Fertility treatment is one of the most stressful things a person can go through. Part of what acupuncture does is regulate the nervous system in a way that directly supports hormonal function. That's a real benefit.
The goal is to stack the cards in your favor for a healthy outcome.

WHY FERTILITY ACUPUNCTURE IS NOT A FIXED PROTOCOL
Point selection changes based on your cycle phase, your stress load, your constitution, and what your labs and functional health data are showing that week. Follicular phase treatment looks different from luteal phase treatment. A patient in stimulation is treated differently from one in the two-week wait. That precision comes from blending traditional Chinese medicine with functional medicine training — I'm not just reading your pulse, I'm reading your labs. This is individualized care that adapts as your situation does.
What to Expect
Every session begins with a brief check-in. I build a treatment specific to where you are in your fertility journey.
Points are selected based on your presentation that day — cycle phase, stress load, constitutional patterns. Fertility acupuncture adapts to what your body needs each visit.
You rest for 25–35 minutes while the needles work. Most patients find this the most restorative part of their week. The nervous system downregulation is part of the treatment, not incidental to it.
After needles are removed, we briefly review how you are feeling and I offer guidance on timing, nutrition, or lifestyle factors relevant to your current cycle phase.
Session length: 60 minutes. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Avoid caffeine in the hour before your appointment when possible.
IVF & ART Support
If you're undergoing IVF, IUI, or another ART protocol, you're already trusting a carefully calibrated plan from your reproductive endocrinologist. My job isn't to introduce a competing plan — it's to support what's already working, timed to whatever schedule you share with me.
I do not replace your reproductive endocrinologist, and I don't work independently of your protocol. You share your schedule with me, and I work within that framework — acupuncture support, not competing medical advice.
Stimulation Phase
Weekly sessions during ovarian stimulation to support follicle development, reduce side effects of medications, and keep the nervous system regulated.
Retrieval Support
A session the day before retrieval to support recovery and reduce post-procedure discomfort.
Embryo Transfer
The most evidence-supported application of the benefit of acupuncture in IVF is treatment around embryo transfer.
Two-Week Wait
One or two sessions during the luteal phase to support implantation and manage the anxiety that makes the two-week wait so difficult.
Common Questions
Fertility acupuncture raises a lot of questions — about the evidence, the timing, and what to expect. Here are the ones I hear most often.
